About

My name is Rachel Gene Cox and I am a certified, insured and mobile Animal Massage Therapist. My journey into the world of animal massage and reiki began after the sudden passing of my dog, Dodger. In search of a way to honor him and all he taught me, I began looking to the healing arts as a way to be of service to animals and their people.

In 2016, I completed my certification in Small Animal Massage from the Northwest School of Animal Massage where I now teach as well. In addition, I am an animal reiki teacher and practitioner, with continuing education coursework in animal acupressure. I also have a Master of Arts in Teaching and enjoy educating both youth and adults on ways to enhance our connection and bond with animals.

When I am not working (it is hard to call what I do work – best “job” ever) you will either find me in my garden, craft room or out in nature with my camera, thermos of tea and a dog at my side. I also volunteer at several Oregon animal shelters and sanctuaries offering massage and energy work to animals of all kinds.
